Update: Kodak Black has begged Doja Cat not to retire until they can “collaborate.” It looks like he will get that chance, because she is still slated to perform tonight in Brazil.

Original: Doja Cat is one of the hottest pop acts in the industry right now and it is not hard to see why. She worked hard to make a name for herself and has garnered a huge fan following. Doja Cat is also one of the most desirable artists as well. Now it seems she is making an abrupt exit.

According to TMZ, Doja Cat seemingly quit her music career after she had a very heated argument with fans on Twitter. It was all over a canceled concert in Paraguay. One of her biggest mistakes was going online after playing Lollapalooza in Brazil Thursday night.

The singer agreed that she did not put on “a good enough show,” but promised she’d do better Friday night. However, her fans in Paraguay were angry as she had never tweeted them over missing a festival show there earlier this week.

It should be noted that the concert in question was cancelled due to a deadly storm and flood. Doja’s response to fans getting mad at her was “I’m not sorry,” and that led to a huge war with fans in Paraguay. She then hit back, “I moved on I’m just gonna let everybody be mad” before changing her Twitter handle to simply “I quit.” She essentially quit music, at least judging by her actions.

“I can’t wait to f***ing disappear and I don’t need you to believe in me anymore.” She added, “I’m a f***ing fool for ever thinking I was made for this this is a f***ing nightmare. Unfollow me.

This s*** ain’t for me so I’m out. Y’all take care.”

Doja Cat is scheduled to go on tour with The Weeknd this Summer, so it is very likely she is not quitting music at all. We will have to see if she skips those big paydays by sticking to her word. It is also possible that she was speaking out of impulsivity and not introspection. Regardless, Twitter can get very toxic at times and this is just one example of it.
