Lady Gaga has a considerable amount of pull in the music industry. That being said, she might just be able to sandbag someone’s career just as easily as she can help it. Heidi Montag has a bone to pick with Lady Gaga. Recently, the reality television icon created a wave of controversy after making a serious allegation against the Born This Way singer.

In a recent interview on the “Unpopular” podcast, the reality TV icon told host Jacques Peterson that the pop star stole her song and “pulled the cord” on her bustling music career. Montag revealed that their feud began in 2009 when Gaga was at the beginning of her career.

The Hills star said on the podcast that they were both working with producer RedOne, whose real name is Nadir Khayat, but things got complicated when Montag recorded a song called “Fashion.” That is a song that Gaga wrote and there are issues.

“[RedOne] and I was going to pair up and we were going to do what him and Lady Gaga ended up doing, which is writing every song together and producing,”

However, because RedOne and Gaga were writing partners, he needed to get her permission for Montag to release the song. Montag said the “House of Gucci” star responded, “Great, sure, she can have that song.”

However, Montag claimed that once producers for the 2009 film “Confessions of a Shopaholic” showed interest in using “Fashion” for their soundtrack, Gaga changed her mind and took the song back. Gaga apparently said at the time, “‘No, I’m pulling that song, and I’m recording it. It’s not Heidi’s anymore,’”

Montag then claimed Gaga told RedOne she would not work with him anymore if he kept working with Montag, which led the producer to part ways with the reality star. The TV personality added, “He was like, ‘I’m sorry, she’s my writing partner for huge things.’”

Meanwhile, RedOne and Gaga went on to produce several hits over the years, including “Just Dance,” “Bad Romance,” “Alejandro,” “Judas” and more. As of now, Gaga has yet to respond to Montag’s claims.

We’ll have to see if Lady Gaga has something to say about this. Stay tuned to Thirsty for future updates.
