Cameron Diaz was touted as one of the most popular actresses in the history of Hollywood. Diaz made a name for herself in films such as Charlie’s Angels, Bad Teacher, Gangs of New York, the Shrek films and more.

To the shock of the entire world, Cameron Diaz announced her retirement from acting back in 2018, a move that fans still can’t quite understand. Diaz retired as she wanted to focus on her family.

While speaking with the Rule Breakers podcast, Cameron Diaz talked about the subject of vanity, stating that she has fallen victim to “societal exploitations.” Diaz then admitted she doesn’t wash her face more than twice a month.

“You just start to pick yourself apart, you know. And you’re like, ‘Why I am sitting here like being so mean to myself? My body’s strong, my body’s capable. Why am I going to talk down to it? Why am I going to be mean to it when it’s like carried me this far?’” Diaz also stated that she gives far less attention to her looks these days.

I don’t care. Literally, the last thing I think about on a daily basis—like maybe not at all during the day—is what I look like. Although she has “a billion” skincare products, Diaz revealed she doesn’t wash her face.

I literally do nothing. I like never wash my face… Twice a month if I’m lucky, I’ll be like, ‘Oh, I better put this on. One time works, right?’ Like is that all I have to do? I’m just not in that place right now like where I put any energy.”

This is not the only time a celebrity admitted something very unhygienic about themselves. One of the biggest trends last year had seen celebrities suddenly admitting they are not a fan of bathing regularly.

This all started with Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis and then Jake Gyllenhaal also joined in the fray, revealing that he isn’t a fan of bathing every day. The Rock chimed in as well, but he reports much more regular showers.

Jason Momoa previously stated that he showers daily and he’s not alone. Showering every day is a habit that should be encouraged more. We certainly hope that celebrities eventually learn the value of keeping one’s body properly clean on a daily basis.
