Jake Gyllenhaal has been part of some of the most gripping and intense movies. As the actor works out a lot to stay in shape, it seems that he isn’t a fan of bathing after workouts or otherwise.

While being in a conversation with Vanity Fair in order to promote the new Prada’s Luna Rossa Ocean fragrance, Gyllenhaal revealed that he isn’t one to feel compelled to bathe everyday.

I do believe, because Elvis Costello is wonderful, that good manners and bad breath get you nowhere. So I do that. But I do also think that there’s a whole world of not bathing that is also really helpful for skin maintenance, and we naturally clean ourselves.

Gyllenhaal then jokes about how he is “baffled that loofahs come from nature” even though they “feel like they’ve been made in a factory but, in fact, it’s just not true.”

While Gyllenhaal might seem like he’s part of a unique movement, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are right there with them with their bathing-your-kids-when-they-stink philosophy. Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are right behind them with bathing their kids after spotting dirt on them.

Naturally, Twitter has a say in things, and his name is trending in a big way because of this comment. You can check out some of the responses below. Needless to say, he’s getting trolled pretty hard right about now.
