Ben Simmons was greeted to a chorus of boos and trash as he showed up on the court ahead of Thursday’s 76ers vs. the Nets game, marking his first return to Philadelphia since his trade to the Brooklyn Nets. Obviously, 76ers fans aren’t shy.

The 25-year-old guard had already made it clear he did not want to play another season for Philly, and willingly lost out on millions of dollars offered to him this season.

He finally got what he wanted after the 76ers traded him, Seth Curry and Andre Drummond to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for James Harden. He returned to Wells Fargo Center – this time as part of the opponent’s team – in a new gear.

But, the 3-time All-Star was heckled way before getting to the arena – even getting surrounded by an angry crowd while getting onto the team bus. “Ben Simmons, you stink!” said one fan.

Though Simmons did not participate in Thursday’s game, choosing to sit out the contest instead, he made sure he got to the venue to show his support for his new team.
