Julius Randle had a fantastic season with the New York Knicks in 2021. Julius’ days were going well, but then everything turned around. Julius Randle was recently fined $50,000 by the NBA for shoving referee and Cam Johnson.

Julius Randle was fined $50,000 by the NBA after he was removed from the New York Knicks’ 115-114 loss against the Phoenix Suns. According to the league, Randle allegedly “forcefully shoved” Cam Johnson, made contact with an NBA official, and failed to cooperate with the league’s investigation into the incident.

The Knicks were up double digits and pushing away from the West Conference’s top club at the time of his dismissal. Johnson would go on to shoot a game-winning buzzer-beating shot.

Randle spoke with the media before the Knicks’ game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday. He added that the most painful part of losing was not being able to help his squad

“It hurts not to win. I’m more upset I wasn’t available for my team down the stretch. That’s what hurt me more than anything. I apologize to the guys for it. It hurt I couldn’t be there down the stretch.”

“I was a little bit surprised. But it’s part of the game. I usually thought I’d get one [technical] and it would be over with. I didn’t see the double tech coming. But it’s still my fault.”

It’s most unfortunate to be ejected after coming to this stage in the game. Fans will now not be able to see him playing for this team. For further updates stay tuned to Thirsty.
