Russia’s invasion of Ukraine recently has shook the world as tensions continue to rise. The invasion has already resulted in numerous casualties from both sides. The situation continues to escalate and many people fear the worst right now. It seems Gene Simmons has urged artists to not perform in Russia as well.

Many volunteers have taken up arms to defend their country, including former Miss Ukraine Anastasiia Lenna. Lenna, who won the Miss Ukraine pageant in 2015, had recently revealed she is doing whatever she can to defend her country.

Recently, Green Day announced that they had cancelled their concert in Russia. While speaking to TMZ, KISS’ Gene Simmons stated that there are more important things happening in the world that should take priority over a simple rock concert, as he mentioned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Gene Simmons is of the belief that an American band that travels and performs for the Russian people would be giving their approval to President Vladimir Putin and his current attack.

Quite a few bands have already pilled out from Russia but a lot of them are still on the fence regarding the matter and whether or not they should perform. It remains to be seen what they will decide in the end.
