Wendy Williams has hosted the nationally syndicated television talk show The Wendy Williams Show since 2008. Wendy Williams’ talk show has been canceled and will end in June. The Sherri Shepherd Show is set to take its place on the airwaves later this fall. Sherri recently stated that she is ‘praying’ for Wendy Williams as she prepares to take over the ailing talk show host.

Wendy Williams is in Sherri Shepherd‘s thoughts and prayers. Sherri, the 54-year-old star’s new TV talk show, is set to replace The Wendy Williams Show on Fox in September but she remains supportive of Wendy, whose long-running show is set to end later this year. “I’m so thankful to Wendy for letting me fill in for her and letting me fill the gap to support her as all the other co-hosts have also done,” Sherri told Deadline.

Sherri appeared as a guest on Wendy’s show in 2021, when the TV star was unable to work due to health issues. The View alum admits that the 57-year-old star is responsible for much of her recent success.

“I’m thankful because if it wasn’t for Wendy the eyes wouldn’t have been on me. I’m so thankful to her. We’re all praying for her.”

When asked if Wendy would appear in her new show, Sherri replied, ‘Of course.’ Wendy has been battling the autoimmune disorder Graves disease, which causes thyroid problems, for the past year, and producers recently announced the decision to end the talk show.

“Since Wendy is still not available to host the show as she continues on her road to recovery, we believe it is best for our fans, stations and advertising partners to start making this transition now.”

“Like our viewers, we have been impressed by the unique comedic twist Sherri puts on our daily live Hot Topics segment, her creativity and interactions with our guests.”

“Her love for the content and daytime fans is obvious, and we are excited to partner with her to create another long-term talk franchise.”

Everyone is currently praying for Wendy’s health, and hopefully she will recover soon. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
