UFC has a huge card coming up on Saturday as Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal will tangle. A big-money bout with champion Kamaru Usman will be on the table for the winner. A lot is going on in Dana White’s promotion this week.

On the business end, White has been making plenty of roster moves. Fifteen fighters have recently parted ways with UFC. Some were due to retirements, others failed drug tests and are presumed to have been released, and several have been let go without any reason at all.

MMA Junkie compiled a list of all the recent UFC departures. There aren’t a lot of hugely recognizable names on the list. The combined record of the athletes who have left the company is 34-55.

Colin Anglin, Fabio Cherant, Jennifer Gonzalez, Zviad Lazishvili, Sean Soriano, and Jordan Williams were all among those fighters who were released, fired, retired, or didn’t have their contracts renewed. They all have one notable distinction in common. Not one of them won a single fight during their UFC tenure.

Others who won’t be fighting in UFC again are Dakota Bush, Hunter Azure, Alexis Davis, Andre Ewell, Dhiego Lima, Mallory Martin, Danilo Marques, Roxanne Modafferi, and David Zawada. Their records didn’t fare much better, but at least they weren’t winless. Those fighters will now look for opportunities elsewhere as well.

Roster moves such as these are designed to keep UFC fresh and to weed out those who haven’t had success within the promotion. It is the top level of competition in the sport and even those with stellar records elsewhere often struggle. For these fighters, the dream is over.
