Beaches are considered relatively safe spaces for those who want to safely explore the aquatic realm. However, that wasn’t the case at one Sydney beach where some people ended up witnessing the slaying of a swimmer by a killer shark.

The 15-ft shark appeared out of nowhere, and is not a common sighting at all. According to a report by TMZ, a North South Wales Police Force representative revealed that the cops received the call about the gruesome sighting around 4:35 PM, Wednesday.

Some people were fishing right near the shoreline when they heard screams. Upon inspection, they found the swimmer being attacked and saw the entire horrible ordeal.

One of the people recorded the incident. As per the video, the recorder shouted out “Someone just got eaten by a shark. Oh man! Oh no! That’s insane.” As per him, the shark was allegedly a great white.

The police reported that human remains were still in the water upon their arrival. While the identity of the deceased swimmer is still unknown, the police hopes to find more information through their investigation.
