YNW Melly is fighting for his life after being charged with a double homicide. The Florida rapper has been accused of murdering two friends in 2018. Melly’s lawyers have contended that the evidence in the case is questionable at best.

Melly’s trial is set to begin in March. The back and forth between the prosecution and the defense has been a true chess game. Prosecutors believe YNW Melly is enough of a danger to society that they are seeking the death penalty in his case.

Attorneys for the rapper argued that the aggravating factor in the case has not been met. Melly’s legal reps said that the case is too broad and vague to meet the criteria for the death penalty. This point has been met with strong resistance by the state.

In an in-depth examination of the case, YouTuber Poetik Flakko pointed out that the prosecution believes that can tie YNW Melly to multiple additional murders. They are being extremely aggressive in seeking the death penalty for Melly. That includes accusing him of unrelated crimes.

Because of the allegations, prosecutors have been steadfast in not offering YNW Melly a plea deal. They want the case to go to trial and are confident that they can prove a double capital murder. Melly’s representation doesn’t think either charge has any merit.

The cat and mouse will continue between YNW Melly’s attorneys and the prosecutors who wish to put him to death. It is an extremely tense situation. We will have to wait and see what evidence comes out as the whole picture continues to reveal itself.
