The Los Angeles Rams have won their first Super Bowl championship since returning to the city. Matthew Stafford and Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp led the Rams to a game-clinching score late in the game. Aaron Donald and the L.A. defense stifled Joe Burrow’s last-minute comeback attempt and the Rams punched their ticket to football immortality.

There were so many Hollywood storylines after the game. Rams wideout Van Jefferson rushed to the hospital where his wife Samaria was giving birth after going into labor in the middle of the game. Safety Taylor Rapp proposed to his girlfriend on the field.

The celebrations weren’t all completely wholesome. Excited Rams fans took to the streets of LA for a wild celebration after the game. The LAPD eventually had to declare an unlawful assembly to settle down the unruly crowd.

Fans gathered near 11th and Hope Streets to soak in the sights and sounds of a championship city, according to the New York Post. There, they lit fireworks inside a city bus and spraypainted graffiti on the outside. Similar scenes continued elsewhere throughout the night.

A mob brought traffic to a standstill as they danced atop the roof of a taxi cab. One man even smacked the taxi’s roof with a construction cone. The LAPD wrote that large and violent scenes of destruction were taking place all over the city.

Several dispersal orders were issued. The 11th and Hope area was cordoned off. Eventually, the out-of-control jubilation was contained. Los Angeles had been waiting for this kind of celebration for a long time.
