The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had the lead headline in the “Obvious Gazette” this week. Tom Brady recently announced he was retiring from the NFL after a career that many consider the greatest of all time. Brady led Tampa to a Super Bowl victory last year after jumping ship from his long-time team, the New England Patriots.

After falling short of the Super Bowl this year, Brady decided to call it quits. Tom wants to focus on his family. Brady is even building a massive eco-mansion as a retirement home.

The Bucs said they are always listening in case Tom Brady decides to change his mind. There probably isn’t another NFL team who wouldn’t. Brady was still playing at an elite level at the time of his retirement.

NFL.com reported that Tampa Bay would be happy to welcome Tom Terrific back in case he changes his mind. The team is without a playoff-caliber starting quarterback. There have been rumors that they might pursue Deshaun Watson or Russell Wilson.

There’s only one Tom Brady. The Bucs will have a difficult time replacing him no matter who they decide to go with. The team is hoping that maybe Tom will miss the NFL and make a comeback.

Brady appears committed to his retirement. Always one to hedge his comments, he also slipped in a “never say never.” Bucs fans probably shouldn’t get too married to the idea, though. Tom’s needed as a husband and father now.
