Rashad Evans is one of the true legends of UFC. The 2019 Hall of Fame inductee enjoyed a lengthy career with plenty of matches called by the controversial Joe Rogan. Rashad and Joe go way back. Evans recently came to the defense of the troubled podcaster.

Joe Rogan has been in hot water after various videos of him using the n-word went viral online. Rogan quickly issued an apology for the content, but many have failed to accept it. Rashad Evans doesn’t understand how anyone could think Joe is a racist.

The former UFC champion spoke with TMZ Sports about the matter recently. Evans said that Joe Rogan is not a racist. Rashad said he’s never even seen anything that makes him think he might be.

“I know Joe and I know the kind of person Joe is. Joe never gave me any kind of feeling or any kind of indication that he’s racist.”

It should be reiterated that Rashad Evans and Joe Rogan have a long-standing business and personal relationship. Evans appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast in 2020. That doesn’t mean he is excusing Rogan completely.

Rashad Evans noted that just about anyone could have unfavorable things they’ve done in the past come out. Evans believes UFC should stand by Rogan. Many fans feel the opposite way.
