Tom Brady recently announced his retirement from the National Football League. Brady had an unparalleled career that saw him lead two teams to a combined seven Super Bowl championships. Many consider him the greatest football player of all time, including his former head coach Bill Belichick.

Nobody is doubting the notion that Hollywood is likely scrambling for the rights to a Tom Brady biopic. It’s one of the most compelling sports stories ever. There is one major name who is already tossing his name into the hat for a role.

Mark Wahlberg recently talked about his interest in a role with Variety. Wahlberg is a lifelong Patriots fan who would relish the chance to be involved. Mark would even settle for the role of Tom Brady’s uncle. He’d prefer to portray Brady’s legendary head coach.

“I could play his uncle. I would love to play [New England Patriots head coach] Bill Belichick.”
