Kelly Clarkson’s divorce was fairly concluded on August 3, 2021. Since then, the singer has been extremely busy filming The Voice. Kelly Clarkson has reportedly chosen to grant her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock a 5 percent stake in their Montana ranch, which she sought to remove him from a few months ago during their bitter divorce fight.

According to fresh court filings filed in Los Angeles on Thursday, the 39-year-old singer has opted to give her 45-year-old ex-husband 5.12 percent of the Montana property. A figure equivalent to little over $900,000 of the ranch’s total $17,750,000 valuation. The records also state that, while Blackstock would earn little more than 5% of the overall value of the land, he will not be awarded ownership or a part of the nearby property owned by Clarkson.

As previously reported by Radar, this is the latest development in the former couple’s protracted divorce fight, which grew so heated at one point that Clarkson sought to expel her ex-husband from the ranch. The motion was ultimately dismissed by the court.

“Kelly recently had a major legal setback in a bid to get Brandon evicted from the Montana property that the judge awarded solely to her. He has been living in it and said he doesn’t have the financial means to afford to purchase a residence of his own at this time, citing the unresolved financial aspect of their divorce.”

In July, she sought a judge to declare her legally divorced because she and Blackstock both deserved “the opportunity to build a new life.” A proposal that was eventually approved in September 2021. Following Clarkson’s wish to get legally divorced, a source close to the singer shared some things in August.

“Kelly is more than fine. She is doing great and facing forward. She’s enjoying the fact that she has the kids for the vast majority of the time and is enjoying time spent with them.”

Clarkson was awarded primary custody of her and Blackstock’s two children, River Rose, 7, and Remington Alexander, 5. Since Blackstock has received a little more than $900,000 from his ex, it is probable that he may leave the Montana ranch now that he can afford to live elsewhere.
