Justin Bieber has long been one of the most beloved pop singers in the world, which is a feat that has earned him the moniker of the “Prince of Pop.” However, it seems that it might be time for Bieber to vacate the throne.

It now seems that someone else has a claim to Bieber’s throne, at least as far as Spotify is concerned. Bieber, who had the most monthly listeners on Spotify last year, with a staggering 83.3 million, has just been beaten by The Weeknd’s 85.6 million monthly listeners.

This is not at all surprising since Bieber and The Weeknd have been neck and neck for a very long time now. In fact, The Weeknd was second, just behind Bieber, when the latter was the #1 most listened to artist.

It seems that The Weeknd’s new album, “Dawn FM,” has tipped the scales in his favor. The album has received both critical and commercial successful, and came at a time when 2020’s “After Hours” has fans wanting more.

It certainly seems like The Weeknd has earned the title of “Prince of Pop” now. Here’s hoping that the pop legend continues to thrive and put out excellent new music for his fans.
