Mike Tyson is unquestionably one of the most legendary boxers in the sport’s history. Tyson is noted for his incredible strength and intimidating stature which has instilled terror in his opponents. It was reported that Mike Tyson and Jake Paul are close to signing a fight deal. Mike Tyson recently claimed that no fight negotiation is taking place between them.

Iron Mike says the rumors are not true. Despite a report that the two were deep in discussions to fight, the 55-year-old former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world rushed to Twitter to dismiss the reports.

“This is new to me. I just saw Jake in St. Barths and he never mentioned it.”

Mike was reacting to a report from The Sun on Monday which claimed Mike and Jake were in “advanced talks” for a $49 million boxing bout. Tyson and Paul are acquaintances, but they might not be opponents. Jake became a boxing superstar on the undercard of an Iron Mike fight in November 2020 when the heavyweight stepped in and battled Roy Jones Jr.

Jake turned 25 today making Mike more than 30 years his senior. Any fight with Tyson would almost certainly be an exhibition, but it’s apparently not close to happening.
