Stephanie Matto made a lot of money through social media. The internet may be a terrific place for people to discover their hidden abilities, but it can also be weird at times. Stephanie, who used to sell her farts in a jar for $51k a week, became so desperate for money that she had to rush to the hospital.

Stephanie Matto recently revealed her odd source of income. She described how she used her 260k-strong following as a client base to market her noxious product, which retailed for a princely $1k (£756) each jar.

Stephanie’s wind was once in such great demand that she was producing up to 50 jars of gas every week. She may have pushed out one too many, though, since the reality star needed to make a hospital run. She shared her experience with Jam Press.

“I thought I was having a stroke and that these were my final moments. I was overdoing it.”

“It was quite hard to breathe and every time I tried to breathe in I’d feel a pinching sensation around my heart.”

Stephanie recalled drinking three protein drinks and eating a large bowl of black bean soup in one day. Soon after, she became aware that something was not quite right. She felt a pressure in her stomach that spread to the rest of her body.

“And that, of course, made my anxiety escalate. I actually called my friend and asked if they could come over to drive me to the hospital because I thought I was experiencing a heart attack.”

“It was made clear that what I was experiencing wasn’t a stroke or heart attack but very intense gas pains.”

“I was advised to change my diet and to take a gas suppressant medication, which has effectively ended my business.”

Stephanie, who is from Connecticut, arrived at the hospital later that evening but didn’t inform the physicians about her unusual work, only about the dietary modifications she had made. Stephanie has already retired from selling farts in jars, which is a relief for her family, but she has found another innovative method to make money.

The reality TV star’s clients will no longer be able to possess the actual jar of her gas. They will be able to buy them as digital artworks on the blockchain. When it comes to generating money, she is pretty inventive, or perhaps we might say unpleasant.
