The Weeknd remains one of the best singers in the modern music industry and that is largely due to the themes shown in his albums, notably his After Hours album. Now it seems the singer could be dropping a new album soon.
The Weeknd has already cemented himself as one of the all-time greats, being regularly discussed among pop music’s greatest icons. His After Hours album featured Blinding Lights, which is for many, the best song on the album
Fans have been eagerly waiting for the singer to release his next album and they might not have to wait much longer from the looks of it. The Canadian sensation took to his Instagram and shared a text conversation he had with La Mar Taylor, the co-founder of XO Records. He teased dropping his new album all at once very soon.
“Happy New Year brother! What we thinking??” Taylor asked The Weeknd.
He answered: “Happy new year! Everything feels chaotic again. Music can heal and that feels more important than another album rollout. Let’s just drop the whole thing and enjoy it with the people… XO.”
A title or release date for the album was not revealed by either of them. His last project, After Hours, was released back in 2020. We will have to wait and see when the singer will finally drop his next album.
