Arnold Schwarzenegger & Maria Shriver Divorce Finalized After 10 Years

After a legal process that stretched over 10 and a half years, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver are finally divorced. This is probably the longest running divorce case in Hollywood history.

The former couple has previously split in 2011 after 25 years of marriage. It was finalized on Tuesday morning in L.A. Superior Court. The files were looked upon by a private judge and that judge signed off on the divorce earlier this month.

The reason for such a long process of divorce boils down to the lack of motivation and a complicated property settlement. The have moved on from from each other a long time ago and they both have been in relationships but stayed cordial with each other. They have been often seen in family gatherings with their 4 kids.

The cause of divorce was a rift between the couple due to an alleged affair with their housekeeper. It was said that Schwarzenegger fathered a child with her. That child Joseph Baena, is now a college grad with acting ambitions.

The property settlement was kept confidential. According to TMZ, it was a huge sum of money that got divided between the two parties. Around an estimated $400 million was split even between the two since there was no prenup.

Finally they are legally single and can now venture into more serious relationships with people. A divorce this long has not made their relationship sour and they share the same love for their children as they did back then. This is a welcoming sign that everything was happening as it should have.
