Travis Scott loves performing in front of his fans and his fans love seeing him rap onstage as well. He also loves it when his fans rage. Travis Scott’s latest concert did not go as planned at all. It seems Travis Scott is still suffering from the effects of the Astroworld tragedy.
As reported earlier, Travis Scott’s first night of his Astroworld concert in Houston ended in the deaths of 8 people after a stampede broke out. On top of that, more than 300 people also suffered injuries. Another has died from her injuries after being declared braindead.
That was not all as a 9-year-old succumbed to his injuries after getting trampled during the Astroworld concert. It simply kept on getting worse as days progressed. In addition to that, a Hulu documentary was made on the tragic incident, which led to a lot of outrage.
According to a report by Women’s Wear Daily, Dior has announced that it is calling off a collaboration with Travis Scott that was due out next year. The capsule collection between Dior men’s artistic director Kim Jones and Scott’s Cactus Jack label has been indefinitely postponed and was going to be Dior’s first with a musician.
“Out of respect for everyone affected by the tragic events at Astroworld, Dior has decided to postpone indefinitely the launch of products from the Cactus Jack collaboration originally intended to be included in its summer 2022 collection.
Over 100 lawsuits have been filed against Travis Scott so far and the amount has surpassed $750 million. Travis Scott’s name will forever be marred by this tragedy and that is unlikely to change anytime soon. We hope such a horrific incident never happens again.
