Zendaya has been the subject of a lot of recent Spider-Man fan speculation. Many believe she’s destined to play Spider-Woman in the MCU. Spider-Man: No Way Home marks her third appearance in the series as MJ.

Zendaya was recently asked if she was mad that she’s not Spider-Woman in a bit on Jimmy Kimmel Live. She said her time with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man made her realize it’s a bit too physical for her. She’d rather pass, according to Screen Rant.

“You know, I can’t say that I’m mad. If there’s anything that I’ve learned it’s that, you know, superheroing isn’t always that easy. So I’m good.”

Spider-Woman is scheduled to make an appearance in the animated Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse. Zendaya is not providing that voice. In the comic book canon, MJ doesn’t become Spider-Woman.
