Danny Carey, drummer for the legendary rock band, Tool, has been arrested for assault. The incident occurred at a terminal inside the airport in Kansas City. TMZ reported on what went down.

Police said they responded on Sunday, December 12, for a report of a disturbance between two men. When they arrived on the scene, Carey was arrested and taken to the station for booking. He was charged with misdemeanor assault after a fight broke out between him and another traveler.

After being booked, Danny was released on bond. The report is being forwarded to prosecutors to review. From there, it will be decided if charges will be filed against the drummer.

Danny has been the drummer for Tool since their formation in the 1980’s. Many music aficionados consider him one of the greatest rock drummers who ever lived. His representatives haven’t responded to requests for comment.

At the height of the alternative and grunge scene’s popularity in the 1990’s, Tool emerged as an enduring act. They’ve won three Grammy Awards during their lengthy career.

The band is currently getting ready for a huge 2022 U.S. and European Tour. The shows kick off in Eugene, Oregon on January 10th. Their North American dates were cancelled in 2020 due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
