Aaron Carter claims he only received a $15,000 payday for his boxing match against former professional basketball star Lamar Odom. Odom knocked the singer out in their July 2021 bout. Aaron says his opponent made $40,000 for the fight.

Carter spoke with VladTV about the match. He said he took the fight because he likes to stand up for himself. He said he didn’t want to let anybody, even the larger Odom, intimidate him.

“I’m the kinda dude that likes to stand up for myself. I dont really let anybody mess with me or intimidate me. I figured boxing is a cool thing I could try out.”

Aaron said he wasn’t worried about Odom’s distinct size advantage. He said his father used to tell him, “The bigger they are, the harder they fell.” Unfortunately for the singer, that didn’t prove true during the fight.
