Alicia Keys Shocks Fans By Lighting Up A Blunt On Drink Champs

Drink Champs is known to get guests talking. Alicia Keys joined N.O.R.E and DJ EFN for a sit down. She followed Kanye West‘s steps and smoked a good fat blunt.

The popular REVOLT series, hosted by N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN, welcomes their guests with not only a buffet of liquor but also some dank treats. The idea is to loosen their guests ups and get them talking.

The loosening up formula works a little too well. When she was offered the blunt DJ EFN said “Grown in the mountains of Austria,” with a smile. “I would prefer Dominican Republic,” the Grammy winning recording artist responded laughing.

Alicia Keys was in good spirits throughout the interview. She rattled off who she would like to collaborate with — dead or alive. Her answers included Kurt Cobain, Marvin Gaye and Nina Simone.

The show became a trending Twitter topic on Saturday (December 11) when a clip of the veteran RnB singer sparking up a blunt started to make the rounds. Many people were in awe of Keys’ willingness to light up on camera, while others weren’t surprised at all.

Alicia also recounted the infamous 2009 MTV Video Music Awards when Lil Mama crashed her performance of “Empire State of Mind” with JAY-Z. Keys said she didn’t even notice Lil Mama. Jay Z on the other had was furious over the intrusion.
