As reported earlier, a woman named Maralee Nichols has come forth and accused NBA Star Tristan Thompson of being the father to her newborn child. More reports surfaced later in the week that suggested that Thompson paid Nichols a sum of $75,000 to buy her silence.

However, there are new developments in this situations. According to an Instagram post by Nichols, the newborn baby boy has already been given Thompson’s last name.

In this post, Nichols revealed the baby’s full name, making her stance on the whole situation crystal clear once again.

Nichols went on to upload an Instagram story in which she explained more about her situation. She went on to thank the well wishes she received from people on social media and that she finds it unfortunate that Tristan has decided not to be in Angelou’s life.

She went on to say that she hopes the lawsuit she files will bring all three of them together as a new family.

I want to thank everyone for your well wishes. Me and baby are doing great. Right now my heart and mind is on focusing on the baby right now. I am heartbroken that Angelou’s father doesn’t want to be in his life. I am hoping this lawsuit will bring us together and we can be a family.

Although Thompson has stated that his dealings with Nichols was limited to a one night stand, the new mother has made it clear that their affair was more than that. Nichols is demanding child support for her newborn and her medical bills during pregnancy and afterwards to be paid.
