Jack Dorsey is stepping down as the CEO of Twitter, the social media giant he helped found in 2006. After serving as CEO until 2009, he founded credit card acceptance company Square. Then, he returned to Twitter as CEO in 2015.

Now, Dorsey is leaving. He says it’s time for the company to move on from its founders. The news has some social media fanatics going crazy, as “RIP Twitter” trends in the United States.

Right wing advocates who believe that Dorsey personally censored former President Donald Trump. Leftist opponents took to their keyboards and immediately began roasting the MAGA crowd. The contrast between the two factions using the hashtag was stark.

“The GQP tweeting “RIP Twitter” is the closest visual representation of irony you’ll find since the anti-pedo branch of Qanon threw their support behind Matt Gaetz”

“RIP Twitter” is trending because right-wingers think the new CEO is “woke”. So will y’all move over to Parler now and stop tweeting after you scream you’re leaving Twitter? Bye. Leave Twitter to the liberal elitists.”

“Uh oh…nutwings are whining again. They have RIP Twitter trending because what? They think if they use cancel culture to get the new CEO gone, that will get Dummy’s account back? Bless their sad ass hearts.”

A tweet from Parag Agrawal, the new CEO of Twitter, began to circulate in right wing circles. Old quotes immediately resurfaced as well. They believe the new head of the company is too “woke.” The irony of these anti-cancel culture warriors using cancel culture to fight the war that only they are fighting is substantial.

Do you think Twitter will fail with a “woke” CEO? Let us know in the comments!
