The Rock is the People’s Champion and his people love buying up his merchandise. That is a huge incentive to have him back, but Dwayne Johnson’s schedule is incredibly taxing and he can’t make a return. If that day comes then The Rock is certain to pull in bank.

Former WWE Superstar Daniel Puder recently made an appearance on the UnSKripted podcast. In a conversation with host Dr. Chris Featherstone, Puder talked about fellow wrestler, Dwayne Johnson‘s career.

Puder had high praise for superstars such as John Cena, and of course, the Rock, for their ability to make people believe in them. As a result, these superstars brought in a lot of money for the company.

When The Rock and John Cena were at their top, I heard The Rock was bringing $60,000 a night in gimmick sales. He was smashing. It’s like $13 million a year or something like that. And it’s nothing compared to what he’s making today. People were spending money because they were into the brand, they were into the wrestlers.
