LeBron James struck Isaiah Stewart during the Lakers and Piston’s game on Sunday night. It didn’t take the league long to hand down a punishment. Now he will lose one game of playing time.

Cries for LeBron James to receive a stiff punishment came from all over. Stephen A Smith called on the NBA to treat King James like any other player in that regard.

The league handed down their judgement on Monday and it wasn’t as stiff as some might have liked. The shoo-in NBA Hall of Famer is still sitting out one game for the infraction as Shams Charania reports:

LeBron James has been suspended one game and Isaiah Stewart receives two-game suspension for roles in altercation during Lakers-Pistons.

That one-game suspension will serve to keep LeBron James out of action for a game, but it could also send a bigger message. James must know that a stiffer punishment could be coming down the line if he chooses any repeat offenses.
