Rapper Fetty Wap was arrested before he could perform at Rolling Loud New York. The bust caught Fetty with heroin, fentanyl, other drugs, and firearms. He could be facing life behind bars for these offenses.

He broke his silence on Instagram recently. For the first time since being arrested, Fetty Wap reflected on facing life in prison. He says he’s on borrowed time.

“Loyalty can be both a great trait and a deadly one… choose wisely with who you stand with but never change what you stand for Never bend Never Fold. Head up like a nose bleed #ImOnBorrowedTime if it ain’t life it ain’t forever I’ll be back better wiser and smarter.”

The massive seizure by law enforcement before Rolling Loud shocked fans. Stacks of cash were shown in plastic evidence bags, along with brick after brick of hard drugs. After the arrest, Fetty was released on $500,000 bond awaiting trial.

Fetty obviously made some bad choices and got wrapped up with some shady people. He’s facing very real consequences for a lifestyle that is as harmful as it is lucrative. His reflective tone shows that he understands the gravity of it all.

Fetty Wap rose to fame when “Trap Queen” hit #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2015. Since then, he’s charted with several other tracks. That promising career may now be over.
