Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan enjoyed unprecedented success on the hardwood. The pair led the Chicago Bulls to six NBA championships together. Pippen has been trash talking MJ left and right lately as he promotes his memoir, “Unguarded.”

According to Charles Barkley, the whole thing is just a marketing gimmick. Sir Charles recently appeared on the Dan Patrick show, where he discussed his thoughts on the feud. He believes Pippen is just trying to sell more books.

“Well Dan, even myself, when people talk about me, they get to bring up stupid stuff I did. So, whatever happens, happens. You don’t get to get mad about it. The stuff that Michael said in The Last Dance was true…but I don’t think it was Michael’s intention to roast Scottie. Like I say, I just think that it seems like, first of all, if you want to say these things, just say them. Don’t put them in a book!

That’s the only problem I have with a lot of these things. If he wants to come on The Dan Patrick Show and say some things, I got no problem with that if he wants to say his opinion. But when you bring all this stuff up, and you just happen to have a book coming out, that’s what I think is the problem everybody’s having now.”

Pippen has spun a myriad of negative takes on his former Bulls teammate. He said Michael Jordan was glorified and that Pippen and his teammates didn’t get enough credit. He also said that Jordan’s brief retirement to pursue a baseball career was selfish.

Whether it’s to sell books or not, Pippen has taken some tough stances against Michael Jordan. Charles Barkley isn’t the only one who thinks his opinions are bogus. Rick Ross says Scottie should stop whining about MJ and take care of himself.
