Eminem‘s “Darkness” is the lead single from his surprise eleventh studio album Music to Be Murdered By. After Godzilla feat. Juice WRLD hit a gigantic 772 million streams, this track is also making its way up.

The album and the “Darkness” music video were released simultaneously on January 17, 2020, with no prior announcement. Eminem also released a deluxe version of the album, named Music to Be Murdered By – Side B. The deluxe features 16 more tracks along with the 20 original releases.

Darkness became the fourth track to reach the 100 million Spotify plays. Along with Eminem, Paul Simon is credited as a songwriter of this song because “Darkness” interpolates Simon & Garfunkel’s unforgettable “The Sound of Silence,” from 1965.

The next track expected to join the club is “Unaccommodating” feat. Young M.A that currently has 92 million streams on Spotify. Until now, there were only three MTBMB songs have breached this significant threshold. Godzilla feat. Juice WRLD with 772 million streams, Those Kinda Nights feat. Ed Sheeran with 116 million streams and You Gon’ Learn feat. Royce Da 5’9” & White Gold with 106 million streams.
