There is no doubt that Kanye West is a genius when it comes to being a businessman and a rapper. Still, he has his fair share of shortcomings as well. Kanye West finally dropped his ‘Donda’ album in August and fans and rappers alike were elated after waiting for so long. It also became a huge success sales-wise on top of that.

Kanye West’s music has touched the souls of many fans all over the world and he has continued to break records over the years. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t respect his peers.

Last month, Kanye West became only the second rapper after Eminem to produce his own Diamond single. RIAA awarded a Diamond status to the single “Stronger” from Kanye West’s third studio album, “Graduation.

While speaking on Drink Champs, Kanye West made sure to mention Eminem as the other rapper to produce his own diamond single. West also admitted that he doesn’t put himself on Eminem’s level.

N.O.R.E.: I recently read that you are one of the two artists that has went 10 million and produced their own record.

Ye: Yeah. Eminem also, yeah.

N.O.R.E.: That’s you and who else?

Ye: Eminem.

N.O.R.E.: Oh, okay.

Ye: I really like Eminem’s beats, though. He is one of my top-five producers, let alone one of my top-five rappers. Me and Em together? Damn. Not that I put myself on that level…

Kanye West will continue to shine as a rapper even if his personal life isn’t all that great right now and that is unlikely to change anytime soon.
