Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are deep into their divorce. Kim K. is already dating someone else (namely Pete Davidson) and appears to have largely moved on. Kanye doesn’t seem to share the same feelings.

On part two of Ye’s sit-down with Drink Champs, the rapper said he hasn’t seen any divorce paperwork yet. His focus is on keeping his family together. Kanye continued to refer to Kim as his wife throughout the appearance.

“But at the end of the day, I ain’t got the paperwork yet, so I’ma come on this joint and try to save my family and keep my family together.”

Kanye did receive paperwork and has filed a response to the divorce request from Kim Kardashian. At least the paperwork part of his statement is therefore untrue as a matter of public record. His efforts to keep the family together, however, seem sincere.

West also discussed Kim’s efforts to become a lawyer. He said that she’s a huge influencer that would have a major positive influence if she were to become a lawyer. Children look up to her, and would want to be lawyers if Kim K. did it first.

“Because you know what happens when Kim Kardashian becomes a lawyer? That shirt gets a little bit higher, that cleavage gets a little more covered up. It’s 14-year-old girls, 17-year-old girls that’s posing a little bit. They wanna become a lawyer. She affect people in that way. And there’s people that don’t want her to affect these women in that way. They want her to affect them in that other way. And they could put you a lawyer that gives you all the right things and just enough wrong things that you just miss your test by this much. You’ll get ’em next time.”

Kanye recently gave up the family’s mansion to Kim Kardashian as a part of their ongoing divorce proceedings. Kim has become enamored with SNL star Pete Davidson. Whatever it is that makes Ye think this relationship is salvageable is obviously not apparent to the public.
