Kanye West is considered a genius when it comes to being a businessman and also as an artist. As a balance, he falls very short when it comes to releasing music on time. This was especially true for the release of his ‘Donda’ album.

For a long time fans were eagerly waiting for the release of Kanye West’s 10th studio album ‘Donda.’ West didn’t drop the album during his ‘Donda’ listening parties, which infuriated fans.

However, Kanye West finally dropped his ‘Donda’ album recently and fans and rappers alike were elated after waiting for so long. Now it seems the album has sold incredibly well.

According to Pitchfork, the ‘Donda’ album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 309,000 equivalent album units. With this, West is now one of seven artists to have at least 10 No. 1 albums. The other six are The Beatles (19), Jay-Z (14), Bruce Springsteen (11), Barbra Streisand (11), Eminem (10), and Elvis Presley (10).

Behind him is his arch-nemesis Drake, who currently has nine albums that have debuted at No. 1. With the success of Certified Lover Boy, perhaps Drake might join West in the elusive club as well as it would only add to their ongoing beef in the end.
