Dalvin Cook has been having a decent season for the Minnesota Vikings. Despite working through injury issues, the running back has been able to scrape together an average of 92.3 yards per game on the ground. Now, he’s facing a more serious challenge than any NFL defense could pose.

TMZ has reported that Cook’s ex-girlfriend is suing him for domestic violence. Gracelyn Trimble says that in November of 2020, Dalvin Cook beat her and left her covered in cuts and bruises. The couple had been dating since meeting on a Florida beach in 2018.

In court filings, Trimble claims that after Cook impregnated her, she suffered a miscarriage. While she was in the hospital, she alleges that he cheated on her. This led to a “physically violent argument” where Cook pushed her. The couple broke up after the incident.

Less than three months later, the two re-sparked their romance. They moved in together in Florida and Gracelyn travelled with him to Minnesota during the season. It was during that reunification that the horrible incident allegedly took place.

After an argument at the Mall of America, the couple returned home. Cook punched her. He then threw Trimble to the ground. Afterwards, she found out that Dalvin was again cheating on her.

Trimble decided to move out and grabbed some mace she’d stored in the garage. She asked Cook for assistance with packing. Cook then grabbed her and threw her over the couch. This resulted in her face slamming into the coffee table and caused several bloody lacerations to Trimble’s face.

The two later tried the relationship again, but Gracelyn’s attorney says they broke it off after Cook again became abusive. Dalvin Cook’s legal team says they will reveal that Gracelyn Trimble was actually the aggressor in the situation. We’ll see how well the victim card works in court for the Vikings RB. The photos published by TMZ of Trimble’s injuries are shown below. They are quite graphic, so discretion is advised.
