Travis Scott’s name has made headlines lately for reasons he certainly wouldn’t have wanted. This is because Scott’s latest Astroworld concert ended in utter tragedy. It seems Drake has finally reacted to the tragedy.
As reported earlier, Travis Scott’s first night of his Astroworld concert in Houston ended in the deaths of 8 people after a stampede broke out. On top of that, more than 300 people also suffered injuries.
Around 9 PM, people began surging toward the stage. People got crushed, which led to mass hysteria. All of this led to 8 people losing their lives in the tragic incident. In addition to that, 11 people went into cardiac arrest and were rushed to the hospital.
Unsurprisingly, Travis Scott is currently facing a lawsuit over the tragedy and even Drake and Live Natio were mentioned in the lawsuit. Drake recently took to his Instagram and commented on the tragedy. Drake said that he is utterly heartbroken over what happened.
“I’ve spent the past few days trying to wrap my mind around this devastating tragedy. I hate resorting to this platform to express an emotion as delicate as grief but this is where I find myself. My heart is broken for the families and friends of those who lost their lives and for anyone who is suffering. I will continue to pray for all and will be of service in any way. May God be with you all.”
Several victims from the Astroworld concert also showed off their horrific injuries recently. The concert riot was also said to be a targeted attack. Fans even tried to stop the concert when the riot started during the concert but to no avail. We hope such a horrific incident never happens again.
