Miles Teller may get the justice he deserves after all. After a man punched the actor in the face at a Maui dining establishment, initial reports stated that no arrests were made at the scene. That situation has changed.

TMZ has reported that Russell Nielson has been charged with 3rd degree assault in Maui County, Hawaii. 3rd degree means that he intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly caused injury to Teller. Prosecutors believed the black eye suffered by Miles Teller was enough to warrant the charge.

In the initial confrontation, two men approached Miles in the bathroom of the restaurant while he was dining with his wife. The incident quickly turned violent. Miles said he didn’t know what the assault was about and acted like he didn’t know the men.

Eventually, it came out that the alleged attacker’s wife was a wedding planner for Teller. The planner claimed Miles owed him around $60,000 for his services. Russell Nielson has a documented history of the couple confronting people publicly in the past.

The Fantastic Four star married Keleigh Sperry in September of 2019. Sperry herself is a model and actress. Their wedding was a lavish affair. They tied the knot in Hawaii, where the alleged dispute over wedding planning also took place.

Teller was recently had some beef with podcaster and WWE commentator Pat McAfee over the assault incident. McAfee made a joke about the punch Miles took, comparing it to a punch in a professional wrestling match. The apology made by McAfee was questionable in its sincerity.
