Paige VanZant is trying to track down an unknown number of fans for violating her intellectual property rights by posting picture of her on Discord. VanZant’s attorney, Jason Fischer, sent a request to Discord to release personal information of several users who posted photos only available on the fighter’s $9.99 monthly premium site.

The site, paigefanzant.com, offers private posts and photos for subscribers. Customers are also able to correspond privately with the fighter. She regularly updates the site with new pictures that are supposed to be exclusive to paid members. According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, users posted over 60 such photos and videos to a Discord server.

“Paige VanZant is involved in an interesting content lawsuit. VanZant’s attorney, Jason Fischer, wrote to Discord noting that photos and videos of her on her $9.99 per month site were being distributed on that site by unknown individuals. They also filed with the District Court in California that they were attempting to get Discord to turn over the identities of the users who put up over 60 photos and videos, which would include real name, physical addresses, email addresses, IP addresses and phone numbers.”

The legal request sent out by Fischer on VanZant’s behalf likely means that they are looking to sue the individual users who leaked the premium content. Creators suing fans for sharing content online has a history dating back to early 2000. The band Metallica famously sued Napster for $100,000 per illegally downloaded track. Several other artists followed suit.
