Hugh Jackman is stepping out on Broadway. The Wolverine actor is taking his love of legitimate theater on as his next challenge. Jackman is playing the lead role of Harold Hill in an upcoming Broadway production of The Music Man.

Jackman recently posted a hilarious clip on his Instagram. Fans were speculating about a cut they noticed on Jackman’s nose. In the post, he revealed that he’d cut it with the hat from his character’s wardrobe during rehearsals.

“‘So, um, people have been making a couple of comments to me, like, ‘Have you had another biopsy on your nose? What happened to your nose? Well, the truth is, this thing is like a weapon and it hit me literally in the face and sliced me on the nose.”

A caption on the post served as a humorous warning for theatergoers who had tickets in the first five or six rows. Hopefully he works on his hat twirling accuracy between now and then. Consider getting seats a little further away if you’re worried.

Several fans became concerned when they noticed the nick on Jackman’s nose. Others made jokes. Either way, it was enough to get the Australian star to address things. He’s going to be OK.

The Music Man opens at the Winter Garden Theater on December 20th. The performance will be Hugh Jackman’s first Broadway performance since he starred in The River in 2014. He also once had a guest spot in WWE.
