Jason Momoa’s Name In Dune Has Fans Talking In A Big Way

Jason Momoa’s role as Aquaman/Arthur Curry received a tremendous reception, both critically and commercially. It was also touted as one of the best films produced under the DCEU banner. He also made a name for himself for the role of Khal Drogo in Game Of Thrones.

Since then Jason Momoa has acted in several movies and shows over the years, showcasing his prowess as an actor. This included Momoa having a crucial role in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune this year.

The film features a lot of otherworldly begins and oddities that fans simply accepted. However, for some reason, they can’t seem to accept Jason Momoa’s character’s name – Duncan Idaho.

Jason Momoa portrayed the beloved character and added his own charisma and flair to it. Unfortunately, the character is now a major talking point on social media and not for a good reason. Fans took to Twitter and made fun of Duncan Idaho’s name and made hilarious comparisons in the process.

I know I’m, like, 50 years behind on DUNE Discourse, but have we talked about how “Duncan Idaho” is totally a porn name? Especially when attached to Jason Momoa?

Fans still seem to enjoy Dune, and CM Punk even said the movie should have been six hours long instead. That is high praise, because he wanted more from every actor involved.

It seems no one expected fans to have such a reaction to Duncan Idaho’s name. Regardless, Dune is currently setting box office records as it is a huge hit with fans and critics alike. We will have to wait and see what is next in store for Jason Momoa.
