Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is trending as fans want him benched due to his lackluster performance. Unfortunately, he went down with a head injury in the third quarter. Mahomes got hit by a knee to the head and fell to the turf. He had to be helped off of the field.

Chiefs fans were very concerned after seeing Mahomes suffer the injury. Fans were scared that he suffered a concussion or a serious injury to the head. Fortunately, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network provided a positive update to the situation.

In the update, Rapoport revealed that Mahomes cleared concussion protocol and was even able to speak to the media. Seems like Mahomes will be able to play next weekend when the Chiefs go against the New York Giants.

The Kansas City Chiefs were defeated on Sunday with a 27-3 score by the Tennessee Titans. Mahomes threw an interception and lost a fumble during the game. He also failed to throw a single touchdown pass.

While news of his health being okay is good, fans want Patrick Mahomes to perform well in the game. Hopefully, he is able to keep his head in the game and we see him perform well in the next match.
