Jamie Lynn Spears is having a bad time lately. After her sister Britney threw shade her way, the former child star is now facing further embarrassment.

Jamie Lynn has been working on a book titled Things I Should’ve Said. She was thinking about donating a portion of the profits from the book to the charity This Is My Brave. The organization works to raise awareness about teen mental illness.

As word of Spears’ intentions spread, the public took to social media to voice their disapproval to the charity. According to TMZ, the negative response was because Jamie neglected her sister when she was dealing with her own mental health issues.

The charity issued a quick and decisive response via Instagram. They ultimately decided not to accept any money from Jamie Lynn Spears’ book. They made this very clear in a comment on the post making the announcement.

“We hear you.

This Is My Brave was recently recommended to be a beneficiary organization for the proceeds from Jamie Lynn Spears’ upcoming book.

We have made the decision to decline the offer of receiving proceeds from the book sales.”

Britney had previously pressured her younger sister to change the title of her upcoming memoir. The original title of the book was I Must Confess, a lyric from Britney’s breakthrough track Hit Me Baby One More Time.

Jamie Lynn Spears and her representatives have not yet commented on the matter. She recently said that her family had become the subject of several death threats.

Did This Is My Brave make the right decision to reject Jamie Lynn’s Money? Sound off in the comments!
