Russell Westbrook is getting some serious attention from everyone as a video captured a very explicit response to a fan’s taunting question.

This all went down as the Kings faced the Lakers. Westbrook lashed out at a fan who told him to go back to his blue hair, something that he didn’t want to hear at all. This caused Westbrook to unleash in R-Rated fashion.

The Lakers lost the final game of their preseason to the Kings, 116-112, and the video went viral of Westbrook’s rant soon after that. Obviously, this was a lose/lose situation for him.

Westbrook told this fan to “shut the f*ck up” as the fan urged him to dye his hair once again. This fan’s argument was that Westbrook played much better with blue hair. After the incident, Westbrook had an apology to give.

“There’s no protection for the players. I think there are a lot of great fans who like to come to the game and enjoy the game. And then there are people that come to the game to say disrespectful things about me, my family.”

This likely won’t be the only controversy to appear on the Lake Show’s timeline this season, and we haven’t even started regular play. We will continue monitoring this situation here at Thirsty for more developments.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
