Jon Gruden was subject to a lot of controversy and backlash after one of his 2011 emails leaked. The Raiders former coach had been cancelled for being racist. As EA Games decided to remove Gruden from the game, fans are of the opinion that they should remove other questionable figures from the game as well.

Gruden’s use of racist and homophobic slurs regarding NFLPA Director DeMaurice Smith were the final nails to his coffin. Many fans were disappointed in the former Bucks coach, who was behind their first Super Bowl win.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers also removed Gruden from their Ring of Honor, which massively smudges up the coach’s legacy. Gruden is obviously getting cancelled by the NFL, but fans are now calling out guys like Warren Sapp in the process.

With EA Games removing Gruden from their game, fans think that there are others which the gaming giant should consider removing. Fans noted figures such as Richie Incogneto, Antonio Brown, and Deshaun Watson.

Fans didn’t leave the criticism to letting other players stay. They talked about the lack of changes and quality in the game throughout the years, addressed the presence of toxic musicians in the game’s soundtrack and one fan even called the game unplayable.
