Former UFC champ and “notorious” troublemaker Conor McGregor was at it again this afternoon. After posting a cryptic tweet that simply said, “Cousin wife,” the Irish MMA star quickly deleted it and never followed up on what he meant.

McGregor is well known for trolling his MMA rivals (and whoever else he’s upset with) via social media. This time, though, Conor failed to clue us in on who exactly he was talking about.

My best guess would be Conor’s long-time nemesis, Khabib Nurmagomedov. In the past, McGregor has threatened to eat his children via a tweet. Khabib’s wife, Patimat Nurmagomedova, is a distant relative. It’s most likely that the fighter was aiming his ire towards Khabib.

Another potential target for McGregor’s tweet could be another one of his rivals, Dustin Poirier. McGregor has taunted his wife in the past, as well. In a post-fight interview, he accused her of sliding into his DMs.

Regardless of who Conor McGregor was targeting with his short-lived tweet, the MMA world is buzzing about it online. If there’s one thing McGregor’s brand does well, it’s stirring up controversy.
