The Rock has rapped before, but that was decades ago. Dwayne Johnson recently had a chance to really lay down a verse on Tech N9ne’s new track, “Face Off.” The People’s Champ received accolades from all around for his verse.

Fans were impressed by The Rock’s skills at spitting bars on Face Off. That praise garnered Tech N9ne’s song a lot of streams and airplay. The Rock was more than happy to tweet out his heartfelt thanks to fans after they showed up in a big way to support his musical endeavor.

Thank you ALL for making our new rap song #FACEOFF

We will have to see if The Rock branches out into more music. He certainly has enough high profile film roles coming up that could warrant his attention on the soundtrack. If anything, we can 100% say that The Rock’s verse in “Face Off” is absolute fire. You can check out the music video below.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
