Netflix Suspended Trans Employee For Crashing Director Meeting Over Dave Chapelle Special

Dave Chappelle’s latest special on Netflix, called ‘The Closer,’ dropped on the streaming platform back on October 5th. The special certainly did not have a very eventful release from the looks of it.

The National Black Justice Coalition called on Netflix to remove Dave Chappelle’s special from the streaming platform for Chappelle’s harmful and transphobic remarks against the trans community.

As reported earlier, Netflix fired an employee by the name of Terra Field who criticized Dave Chappelle’s latest comedy special. Now it seems there is more to the story than initially thought.

According to TMZ, Terra Field got suspended for joining a meeting with Directors without notifying the people running the meeting first. Her presence in the meeting sparked an investigation, with the suspension being the result of the investigation.

A Netflix spokesperson confirmed that Terra’s suspension was the result of her meeting attendance, and not any of her tweets where she criticized Dave Chappelle.
