Dave Chappelle needs no introductions as far as being a stand-up comedian are concerned as his range of comedies and impeccable timing has helped him find a large fanbase.

Dave Chappelle’s latest special on Netflix, called ‘The Closer,’ dropped on the streaming platform back on October 5th. The special certainly did not have a very eventful release from the looks of it.

The National Black Justice Coalition called on Netflix to remove Dave Chappelle’s special from the streaming platform for Chappelle’s harmful and transphobic remarks against the trans community.

While speaking during a screening of his new documentary at L.A.’s Hollywood Bowl, Dave Chappelle made fun of cancel culture.

“If this is what being cancelled is like, I love it.”

Chappelle also went on to mock Twitter, the media and “all these stupid-ass networks” to the packed stadium that included the likes of Brad Pitt, Tiffany Haddish, Donnell Rawlings and more … saying, “I’m not talking to them. I’m talking to you. This is real life.”

“Thank god I’m canceled because f**k this shit anyway. I bet you I’ll be someone better than you think.”

Dave Chappelle also made it clear he is unapologetic regarding his transphobic comments and that is unlikely to change anytime soon from the looks of it.
